Individual Counselling

With individual counselling, we believe that change happens within safe, connected relationships. We work with children, teens, and families from a compassionate, developmentally attuned lens, taking the time to understand each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges within the context of their relationships and environment.

For children, therapy is often play-based and experiential, allowing them to express themselves in ways that feel natural and engaging. For teens, we balance connection and collaboration with practical skill-building, creating space for identity exploration, emotional insight, and increased independence. With parents and families, we focus on strengthening relationships, deepening understanding, and supporting caregivers with tools that are both effective and realistic.

Our work is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We tailor our approach to each client, drawing from these modalities in a flexible and responsive way to support healing, emotional regulation, and resilience.

We support a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, separation and divorce, relationship challenges, and neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and Autism.

Across all ages, our goal is to help clients feel understood, build insight and coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change- both within themselves and in their most important relationships.
